In accordance with provisions stated in Article VIII of the North Carolina Pork Council Bylaws, notice is hereby given that the Annual Meeting of the members of the Council will be held on Thursday, March 8 at 8 am at the StateView Hotel on NC State’s campus, Raleigh, NC. The purpose of the meeting is to present a proposed amendment to the North Carolina Pork Council’s Bylaws, update the members on activities and events from 2017, along with financials and reports from national organizations.

NC Pork Council Non-Voting Ex-Officio Directors:
NC Pork Council (NCPC) currently has four ex-officio, non-voting members on the board of directors: two (2) appointed by the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences of North Carolina State University, one of which from the Department of Animal Science, Swine Interest Groups, one (1) appointed by the Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine of North Carolina State University School, and one (1) appointed by the North Carolina Commissioner of Agriculture from his/her staff.
A proposed change in the Bylaws will allow for the addition of an ex-officio, non-voting member appointed by the Dean of the College of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences of North Carolina A&T State University from the Department of Animal Sciences.
