Leadership

The main policy-making body of the North Carolina Pork Council is the Board of Directors. The board, led by an executive committee, focuses on establishing and executing policies that support our organizational goals.

Board of Directors

The board is composed of 18 district directors elected by the members in three districts.* In addition, allied industry and meat processors are represented on the board by one director each. The officers and any individual serving in a national capacity serve as directors at large.

District 2 and 3 have been combined to make District 2. District 4 will change to District 3. All districts will be guaranteed three (3) elected directors with the remainder of the directors allocated in proportion to the hog population in each district as determined every five years by the USDA Census of Agriculture.
